Rise and Shine: The Life of a Guardian HVAC Technician
As the sun peeks over the Chicago skyline, I’m already up and preparing for another day of keeping Chicagoland comfortable. Working for Guardian Heating & Cooling means no two days are ever the same, but they’re always filled with challenges and rewards.
6:00 AM: The Early Bird Gets the Wrench
My day starts early. I check my schedule and load up the service van with tools and parts. Today’s lineup includes:
- An AC repair in Lincoln Park
- HVAC installation in Northbrook
- Routine air conditioner service in Skokie
8:00 AM: Troubleshooting in the City
I arrive at my first stop in Lincoln Park. The customer’s AC is blowing warm air – a common issue we face. After a thorough inspection, I discover a refrigerant leak. I explain the situation to the homeowner and get to work on the repair.
11:30 AM: New System, New Comfort
Next up is Northbrook for an HVAC installation. The homeowners are upgrading their system for better efficiency. It’s a big job, but with Guardian’s training and top-notch equipment, I’m confident we’ll have them cool and comfortable by day’s end.
3:00 PM: Maintenance Matters in Skokie
My final stop takes me to Skokie for routine air conditioner service. These preventative checks are crucial for extending the life of HVAC systems and catching small issues before they become big problems.
6:00 PM: Wrapping Up and Looking Ahead
